Half the nominees for the best talk show host in the States are from this side of the Atlantic.
The shortlist for the Critics’ Choice TV Award, announced today, includes James Corden, Graham Norton and John Oliver.
Corden’s nomination comes just two months after he started on The Late Late Show on CBS. Norton is nominated as his UK chat show airs on BBC America, while Oliver is shortlisted for Last Week Tonight on HBO.
His former employers at The Daily Show are also in the running – just as host Jon Stewart steps down – while the category is completed by Jimmy Kimmel Live, and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
The awards will be handed out in Los Angeles on May 31. Here are the full nominations in the comedy categories:
