Barry Cryer is to be honoured as a 'comedy legend' by Bristol's Slapstick festival, following in the footsteps of Barry Humphries and June Whitfield. To mark the occasion he'll be interviewed with his long-term I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue colleague Graeme Garden at the Bristol Old Vic on March 20, three days before his 80th birthday.

COMEDIANS including Bruce Devlin, Janey Godley and Ashley Storrie will be entertaining passengers on the 1530 Virgin Trains service from London Euston to Glasgow today, to promote the Scottish city's comedy festival which kicks off on March 12.

FRANK SKINNER, Josh Widdicombe, Roisin Conaty, Tim Key and Romesh Ranganathan have been announced as the contestants in new Dave TV show Taskmaster, in which Alex Horne and Greg Davies set challenges for teams of comedians. The programme, which will air this summer, is based on Horne's previous Edinburgh shows of the same name.
