Lee Evans outsells Mrs Brown
His DVD tops comedy chart
Lee Evans might have just announced his retirement – but his new live DVD has gone straight to the top of the comedy charts.
The Monsters tour is the No 5 bestselling DVD across all genres, and No 1 in ‘special interest’ according to the Official UK Charts.
It outsold its nearest rival – Mrs Brown’s Boys latest live show, For The Love Of Mrs Brown, which was No 12 in the overall charts.
At No 3 is Miranda Hart: My What I Call Live Show (No 23 overall), followed by Sarah Millican: Home Burd and Jason Manford: First World Problems, neither of which made the overall top 40.
Last week’s bestselling live comedy DVD, Monty Python: One Down, Five To Go, is at No. 6
