Comedy figures to join him on travel show

Kathy Burke, Adam Hills, Jessica Hynes and Stephen Mangan will be joining Richard Ayoade on his new 4 travel series.

Channel 4 have confirmed details of his new four-part show, with the working title Travel Man, as originally reported on Chortle in September.

The IT Crowd star will visit Iceland, Barcelona, Istanbul and Marrakech, joined by a different travel companion each time.

And in each city he will have the challenge of being 'ruthlessly efficient' in getting 'maximum holiday value in minimum time' - using gizmos and apps that wouldn't be out of place on his other Channel 4 series, Gadget Man.

Tom Beck, Channel 4's commissioning editor for factual entertainment said: ‘Richard’s brilliant take on technology has transformed Gadget Man into one of the funniest shows on TV.

'He has an equally unorthodox approach to travel and I can’t wait to see how this plays out in the series.’
