E4 says 'yes' to Marry Me

Its latest US comedy import

Channel 4 has acquired rights to air the new US comedy series Marry Me.

The show follows what happens to a long-time couple after the question of 'Will You Marry Me?' is popped.

It was created by David Caspe, based on his real-life relationship with actress Casey Wilson, who stars as Annie. Ken Marino, from Eastbound & Down, plays the hapless groom-to-be.

Caspe and Wilson previously worked together on the sitcom Happy Endings, which has aired on E4 in Britain. The same channel will air Marry Me from early 2015.

The series debuted on NBC last month, to a respectable 7.8million viewers. Last week an extra five episodes were added to the first season, bringing the total to 18.
