Frankie Boyle quits Twitter
FRANKIE BOYLE says he's quitting Twitter over the amount of spam he's receiving. He tweeted to his 1.7 million followers yesterday: 'Is everybody’s timeline now just full of random shit instead of stuff people RT? I can’t be bothered reading stuff I’ve consciously not bothered to follow. I think that’s Twitter over then, to be honest.' His move comes days after Louis CK - with almost 4million followers - also quit the social networking site.
NOMINATIONS for this year's British Comedy Awards are to be unveiled at midnight tomorrow. The actual event, broadcast live on Channel 4, will be on December 16.

Shortlisted are Gus Beattie of The Comedy Unit, whose credits include Sketchorama; drama producer Clive Brill of Pacificus Productions; Tony McShane who producers NightOwls for commercial radio in Newcastle; Ed Morrish from BBC Radio Comedy who recently produced the Tony Hancock revival; and David Tyler from Pozzitive, whose most recent credit is Thanks A Lot, Milton Jones!
