Katy Wix joins Chortle book fest
Katy Wix has joined the Chortle Comedy Book Festival. The comedy actress, known for Not Going Out, Torchwood and Anny & Katy, will be reading from her book of comic monologues this Sunday. She will be performing at the Colonel Fawcett in Camden alongside Fergus Craig, who is reading from his book of spoof acting tips. Tickets, priced just £5, are available here – or as an £8 double bill with either literary sketch show The Canon here or Ian Moore telling of being an English comic living in France here.
JULIAN BARRATT is to appear in the next series of Mid Morning Matters. Writer Rob Gibbons today tweeted a picture of the Boosh star on set with a guitar, alongside Steve Coogan’s Alan Partridge and Tim Key’s Sidekick Simon.— Rob Gibbons (@RobGibbons_) November 5, 2014
FULL episodes of Russell Howard’s Good News are to be released on YouTube ‘shortly after’ their broadcast – but not in the UK, Australia or New Zealand. The bid to build a more international audience comes after a clip in which the comic compared British and American news coverage of the ebola scare attracted more than 2.5million views online.
CASTING has been revealed for Comedy Central’s new sitcom I Live With Models. David Hoffman, from The Groundlings sketch group, will appear alongside Brianne Howey and Rebecca Reid, all of whom are relatively unknown. Although made for the UK channel, the sitcom is set in Miami and features American actors.
