Noel Fielding has extended his An Evening With... tour with an extra 19 dates in early 2015. Tickets for the new dates (which are listed here) go on general sale at 9am on Friday.

ACTRESS Marcia Strassman – best known for playing the mother in Honey I Shrunk the Kids and its sequel – has died in California at the age of 66 after a seven-year battle with breast cancer. Her other comedy credits include a recurring role as nurse Margie Cutler in M*A*S*H.

RUSSELL BRAND is said to be considering running for London mayor in 2016 on an independent 'anti-politics' tickets. Eddie Izzard has already declared his intention to stand for Labour candidate four years later.

DAVID WALLIAMS has been nominated for the 2015 Red House Children’s Book Award int he younger readers category for his latest novel, Demon Dentist. It is the only national book award voted for solely by children, and the winner will be announced in February.

DAVE's sponsorship of the Leicester Comedy Festival has won a sponsorship gong at the Field Marketing & Brand Experience awards. Caroline Edwards of Sparkle Productions, who directs the campaign said: 'It’s the first time ever that a comedy sponsorship has been nominated for and won a marketing industry award, so I’m absolutely thrilled.'
