Right time, wrong place
Seann Walsh had to cancel his gig in Hertford last night – after going to Hereford instead.
The comic tweeted in panic after he found himself 125 miles away from his scheduled tour date.
‘Hertford! I regret to inform you that tonight's show is cancelled due to me arriving at Hereford near Wales,’ he said. ‘I am so sorry. Please feel free to tweet me abuse!!!!! I will make sure I reschedule if you don't hate me now!’
The venue also tweeted the news just before he was due on stage, adding: ‘We hope he'll make here 1day!’
To add to Walsh’s problems, the 28-year-old comic was hit by train delays getting back home, meaning the journey from Hereford back to London took him more than four hours. Had he gone to the correct venue in Hertford, it would have taken him just 45 minutes.
As his iPhone ran out of power on the trip hope, he posted: ‘Still enough time to let you know I am now further away from my home than I was when I was in HerEford.’
His fans dealt out good-natured abuse over his mix-up. Chris Ivens of Birmingham tweeted: ‘Plonker. Funny though. Time to stop writing your appointments in crayon maybe?’
And Peter Bellamy of Crawley added: ‘Reminds me of you arriving late for the @BrightonComedy gala a couple of years ago after you got on the wrong train.’
Walsh next tour date for his show, 28, is at the Warwick Arts Centre on October 10. As long as he realises it’s in Coventry, not Warwick…
