Radio 4 special to be recorded

Count Arthur Strong is to return to Radio 4 for a one-off Christmas special.

It will be the first time Steve Delaney’s aged former variety star has been heard on the radio since transferring to BBC Two. A second series of the TV show, co-written with Graham Linehan, has been recorded – although a broadcast date has not yet been announced.

The Christmas radio special will be recorded at the Dancehouse Theatre in Manchester on the October 26 in front of a live audience. Dave Mounfield and Terry Kilkelly.

The Sony Award-winning Count Arthur Strong’s Radio Show! ran for seven years on radio 4 from 2005 to 2012.
