Gavin & Stacey is never coming back
The actress, who played Stacey in the comedy, unequivocally ruled out a return for the comedy, despite frequently speculation to the contrary.
In an interview with the Radio Times, she said: 'I think it's the end it feels like it is still going on because it is repeated all the time. But it finished in 2009, it finished ages ago. When we finished we said this is the end. We are not gong to do any more. As far as we are concerned that is it.’
Her comments come despite co-creator Ruth Jones fuelling hopes of a comeback earlier this year when she spoke of getting back together with co-writer James Corden. ‘We haven't any concrete plans but we will at some stage,’ she said. ‘It might be a Gavin & Stacey special or it might be a film.’
However even without a revival, Page things she will forever be thought of as Stacey. ‘I think I will always be seen as this small blonde 20-year-old even in my fifties – I will be like Felicity Kendal.’
