Comic stars revive Neville's Island
Adrian Edmondson, Miles Jupp, Neil Morrissey and Robert Webb are to star in a West End revival of Neville’s Island.
The play revolves around four out-of-shape businessmen who get lost in the Lake District when a team-building exercise goes wrong.
This year is the 20th anniversary of the original London run of the play, by Tim Firth, and Edmondson will be reprising the role he took in that first production at the Apollo Theatre.
It was revived last year by Chichester Festival Theatre, with Edmondson starring in a cast that also included comic Rufus Hound.
That production is the one transferring to the Duke of York’s Theatre from October 20 this year with the new cast. It will be Jupp’s West End acting debut.
Neville’s Island was also made into a 1998 TV movie with Timothy Spall, David Bamber, Martin Clunes and Jeff Rawle.
