Dreaming of a Black Mirror Christmas
CHARLIE BROOKER’S Black Mirror is to return with a feature-length Christmas special which Channel 4 says is 'the most mind-bending yet'. The show will feature three interwoven stories but has not yet been cast. Brooker said: 'I always enjoy a good ghost story at Christmas, and I'm a sucker for the Amicus’ compendium horror movies of the 70s. Our aim is to create the Black Mirror equivalent of that.'
ITV has confirmed that it is bringing back Stars In Their Eyes with Harry Hill as host. Six hour-long episodes of the show have been commissioned.
A NEW sitcom is in the pipeline based on the memoirs of astronaut Chris Hadfield, the Canadian who became an internet star with his video singing David Bowie's Space Oddity from the International Space Station. Hollywood website Deadline says the ABC network is making a pilot of An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth, based on a central character readjusting to mundane family life after experiencing the wonders of space travel.
COMEDIAN Crispin Flintoff has failed in his bid to join Labour's National Executive committee. The stand-up behind the nationwide Stand up For Labour fundraising gigs polled the fewest votes of all 13 candidates for the six posts. Ken Livingstone got the most.
