Harry Hill goes to BBC One
Harry Hill is to make his BBC One debut soon.
The comic will star in a scripted programme, but no other details have yet been released.
In an interview with The Guardian, channel controller Charlotte Moore describes Hill as ‘one of the great comic talents of British television’.
But she gave no other details of what was in store with him.
The news comes more than ten years after the end of TV Burp after a decade on ITV, and the failure of the Harry Hill Movie to make much impact at the box office. Last month Hill settled his dispute with former agents and makers of TV Burp, Avalon, over unpaid money.
Hill has recently been appearing unannounced in small London comedy clubs, working on new material.
