FRANKIE BOYLE is to appear at the Edinburgh Fringe. He is taking part in a benefit organised by Artists for Gaza next week to raise money in aid of Medical Aid for Palestinians. Shappi Khorsandi and Elaine C Smith are also on the bill at The Assembly Rooms on Tuesday. Tickets.
LEE MACK and Bob Mortimer have been confirmed as begin among the stars taking part in BBC Two’s new pro-celebrity darts show: Let’s Play Darts for Comic Relief. Richard Osman from Pointless will also be taking part in the event, hosted by Gabby Logan, with more names yet to be announced. The contest will be filmed at Lakeside Frimley Green in Surrey on September 3 and 4.
LARRY DAVID is to make his Broadway debut next year. The Curb Your Enthusiasm creator has written the comedy play Fish in the Dark, which is set to open next March. He told The New York Times: ‘[I play] somebody very similar to Larry David - it might even be Larry David with a different name.’ The play revolves around the impact of a death on a family.
AMERICAN comic and movie star Kevin Hart has announced his first UK date in two years. He will be hosting a Hart Beat Weekend show at Wembley Arena on October 12. Tickets, priced £46 or £190 for a VIP experience, went on sale yesterday here.
Jo Brand’s spin-off reality show The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice has proved a hit for BBC Two. Overnight figures show the programme had an impressive 2.05million viewers at 9pm yesterday.
