Stand-ups compete in BBC One quiz

Comedians including Josh Widdicombe, Sara Pascoe and Ronni Ancona are to take part in a celebrity version of daytime quiz Pointless.

A 14-part series of celebrity specials airs on BBC One in a primetime Saturday night slot this summer. And the first, on August 9, features contestants from comedy,

The teams will be Birds Of A Feather duo Lesley Joseph & Linda Robson; Ancona with fellow impressionist Phil Cornwell; Hi-Di-Hi's Su Pollard and Ruth Madoc; and stand-ups Widdicombe and Pascoe.

Other themed specials in the series, hosted by Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman, include soap stars, food and drink experts, and 1990s celebrities.
