E4 orders Bad Robots prank show

A tight 5: July 24

E4 HAS commissioned a hidden-camera series, Bad Robots, in which unsuspecting victims are pranked by technology such as vending machines. The show was initially commissioned for Channel 4's Blaps stand of online shorts, but the broadcaster decided to go straight to series instead. Six half-hour shows will air in the autumn.

COMIC Jake Yapp has been signed up to front a series of online diatribes for Somersby cider under the tagline 'Refreshingly real' - including this one:

CHANNEL 4 is planning a series of programmes in the five days running up to the cinema release of The Inbetweeners 2 on August 6, including a re-run of the first film, repeat episodes and a new programme The Inbetweeners Go Global, specifically plugging the show. The cast have also recorded an introduction to the original movie and to their favourite TV episodes.

RADIO 4 has commissioned a second series of Colin Hoult's Carnival of Monsters. Shows will be recorded in September and October. See our free tickets page to be in the audience.

BRIGHTON comedy venue Upstairs at Three and Ten is to change its name to Otherplace at Bar Broadway due to a change in ownership – and name – of the pub downstairs. The bar becomes a musical-theatre-themed venue from August 1, but the venue upstairs will continue as normal.
