Billy Connolly has announced a Scottish tour. His High Horse show will visit Aberdeen, Perth, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow in September and October. (Dates). Tickets will go on sale on Friday at 9am.

TICKETS for Daniel Kitson's Edinburgh Fringe shows sold out within 19 minutes today. The Stand put 1,600 tickets on sale – 100 for each of his Midnight Show – at midday, and tweeted soon afterwards that the allocation had gone.Another 40 will be available each day of the festival, to personal callers who go to the box office at midday.

THE Greenwich comedy festival is to return to South London in September, with a new sponsor – Magners – and in a new location, the grounds of the National Maritime Museum. The event last year planned to move to Brick Lane in East London, but was thwarted by local residents. Acts playing this year's event, from September 24 to 28, include Stewart Francis, Milton Jones, Nina Conti and Cardinal Burns. Website.

CANCER charity CLIC Sargent is urging people to donate jokes to a new website – then get them sponsored to raise money. Chris Ramsey, Lee Nelson and Adam Bloom have already contributed to the Joke Appeal.

TRUCK DRIVER Kevin Roper, accused of causing the crash that killed one man and left four others injured including 30 Rock star Tracy Morgan, has pleaded not guilty to charges of vehicular homicide and assault by auto in a brief hearing in New Jersey.
