Mrs Brown tops d'box office
Mrs Brown's Boys: D'Movie topped the UK and Irish box office on its opening weekend.
The big-screen outing of Brendan O'Carroll's sitcom hit took £4.3million – toppling the teen romance The Fault in Our Stars from the No 1 slot.
D'Movie was shown in 522 cinemas, meaning it took £8,240 per screen, on average, which trade website Screen Daily calls 'superb'.
The opening week was considerably more than Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa – which took £2.2million – but well behind The Inbetweeners Movie's record-breaking £13.2million.
In Ireland, D'Movie enjoyed its biggest opening day for any release so far this year.
The news comes as O'Carroll announced an arena tour, How Now Mrs Brown Cow, for 2015.
