Peep Show's Matt King returns to stand-up

Matt King – best known as Superhans is Peep Show – is to return to stand-up after a ten year absence.

He has announced a 20-date national tour stating at Colchester Arts Centre on June 1.

King started out on the Australian stand-up circuit, where he performed for 15 years before returning to his native Britain and joining the UK circuit in the late 1990s.

However, he has increasingly been working as an actor and a writer, including co-creating the short-lived BBC Two series White's with Alan Davies and Sky 1's Starlings. Other screen credits include ekyll, Doctor Who, Skins and The IT Crowd.

Hie is also playing Andre The Thief in the forthcoming movie version of Paddington Bear, alongside Nicole Kidman, Colin Firth, Hugh Bonneville and Matt Lucas.
