The comedy week ahead…
Monday January 6
LIVE IN LONDON: Rob Newman starts a two-week run of his New Theory Of Evolution at the Soho Theatre before it embarks on a national tour (starting at The Stand in Edinburgh on January 19). The show is a fascinating, curious and wide-ranging show about evolution – especially challenging the brutal ‘survival of the fittest’ idea that goes against his own socialist views. It is more of an exploration of ideas than a gag-packed romp – but it’s plenty entertaining nonetheless . Review

LIVE IN LONDON: Not The Messiah, this celebratory, Pythonesque romp through the biography of Graham Chapman is at Theatre 503 in Battersea all week. George Telfer’s performance one-man performance is stunning. Review
Wednesday January 8
LIVE IN LONDON: Passionate, disaffected polemic from the fierce and funny Alfie Brown - following in the footsteps of Russell Brand in many ways - as he begins a four-night run at Soho Theatre with his 2013 Edinburgh show The Revolting Youth. Review
Thursday January 9
