Bridget Christie and Nick Helm have both been nominated for South Bank Sky Arts Awards.
Edinburgh Comedy Award-winner Christie is up against the Alan Partridge film Alpha Papa and the Sky Arts sitcom Psychobitches in an eclectic comedy category.
Meanwhile Helm is the comedy nominee in the breakthrough award, which has one shortlisted entrant from each art forms
This is the third consecutive year Coogan has been nominated for the comedy award for Partridge. And he has a second nomination in the film category for Philomena . The movie is up against The Se;lfish Giant and Le Week-End
The South Bank Sky Arts Awards are now in their 16th year. Melvyn Bragg will announce the winners on Tuesday January 27 at the Dorchester Hotel in London – and the ceremony will air on Sky Arts on January 30.
Bragg said: 'Once again, the list of nominees for the South Bank Sky Arts Awards shows that the UK arts landscape is as vibrant as ever. It’s vital to honour the excellence of artists, performers, musicians and authors especially at this time, and we’re very glad that we can do this.'
