BBC buys more Parks & Rec
BBC Four has signed a deal to run the third series of Parks And Recreation in Britain.
The channel previously aired the first two series of Amy Poehler’s US comedy from March this year, where they attracted an average audience of 350,000.
Now the channel has snapped up the rights to the 16 episodes in the third season from NBC Universal, and plans to air them next year.
However, Britain will remain about three years behind America, where series three was aired in early 2011. Earlier this year, NBC network executives greenlit a sixth series. The first episode of that series is due to shoot in London later this month.
Impatient UK fans will be able to legally watch series three before it airs on BBC Four, as the DVD is out on Monday. Click to buy
