Conchords headline massive comedy tour
Dave Chappelle, Flight Of The Conchords and Jim Jefferies are to take part in one of the biggest comedy tours to feature multiple acts.
The Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival will visit 13 American cities, playing outdoor arenas with capacities of around 20,000 in each. It is billed as a full festival experience featuring two stages, street performers, vendors and sideshows such as psychics and freaks, tasty treats and more.
Also taking part in what is largest outdoor comedy tour ever stage by promoting giants Live Nation are Demetri Martin, Hannibal Buress, John Mulaney, Kristen Schaal, Al Madrigal, Brody Steven and Chris D'Elia
‘It took the extraordinary talents of Dave Chappelle and Flight Of The Conchords' Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement to create such an amazing night for comedy fans in such incredible summertime venues,’ said Geof Wills, president of Live Nation Comedy.
‘We have an amazing supporting cast of comedians on two stages, and lots of extras that will make this a night to remember for comedy fans everywhere.’
The tour is being promoted by the Funny Or Die website, whose chief executive Dick Glover said: ‘It's the perfect blend of comedy and crazy that will for sure resonate with comedy fans looking for a one of a kind experience.’
The tour kicks off on August 23 at the Austin360 Amphitheatre in Texas, and will end at Desert Sky Pavilion in Phoenix, Arizona, on September 22.. Tickets go on sale on Thursday.
