2014 arena tour selling out

Miranda Hart has added extra dates to her arena tour for 2014.

Even though the tour does not kick off for more than a year, demand has been such that she is adding another eight nights to the 13 already announced.

She will now be adding Brighton and Sheffield to her itinerary, while extra dates in London, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool and Birmingham have also been added.

These new dates for her My, What I Call, Live Show will go on sale at 9am on Friday.

Hart is plunging straight into arenas, despite never having performed a full hour’s stand-up before – let alone a whole night. But she has performed character shows at the Edinburgh Fringe.

She said last year: ‘I used to MC a lot and did a lot of spots – lots of charity shows with ten-minute spots, but I’ve never done a full stand-up show, no.’

Her self-titled sitcom ended its third series this week with a massive 7million viewers.

The extra dates are:

March 13: The O2 London
March 14: Manchester Arena
March 21: Leeds Arena
March 24: Liverpool Echo Arena
April 1: Brighton Centre
April 2: Brighton Centre
April 6: Sheffield Arena
April 9: Birmingham NIA
