Walliams wanted more Come Fly With Me

...but Matt Lucas didn't

David Walliams wanted to male another series of Come Fly With Me – but Matt Lucas vetoed the idea.

The disagreement may mean the end of their 20-year comedy partnership,

In an interview with Esquire magazine, Walliams admits he was ‘disappointed’ with his colleague’s decision.

‘We’ve been taking a break, doing different thing,’ the 41-year-old said.

‘Matt didn’t want to do any more Come Fly With Me. He wanted to do his own thing. I was disappointed.

‘I was hoping to do more because when you’ve started something like that, one series never seems enough.’

Walliams added that fans were always asking if there would be more episodes of Little Britain, but said: ‘You think you’d like to see it but actually it probably wouldn’t be as good as it was and it would just mean we were doing that every year, year-in and year-out and you’d get bored.’

The pair formed their comedy partnership after meeting at the National Youth Theatre in 1990.
