Jim Gaffigan, Kathy Griffin and Tenacious D are among the nominees for this year’s Grammy Awards.

Their albums are up for the comedy category in the most prestigious award in the American recording industry.

The full list of nominees is: Jimmy Fallon’s Blow Your Pants Off; Margaret Cho’s Cho Dependent; Lewis Black’s In God We Rust; Kathy Griffin’s Seaman 1st Class; Jim Gaffigan’s Mr. Universe and Tenacious D’s Rize Of The Fenix

Meanwhile, Ellen DeGeneres’s autobiography Seriously... I'm Kidding has been nominated as best spoken work album – a category that also includes Bill Clinton’s Drift: The Unmooring Of American Military Power.

In the music categories, Mumford & Sons, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys and the ban fun. led the way, with six nods each.

The 55th annual Grammy Awards – which have a massive 81 categories – will be held on February 10 in Los Angeles.
