Facejacker movie 'on the way'

Novak has the outline in place

Kayvan Novak says he has written the outline for the movie version of Facejacker.

Earlier this year he revealed that he was making a big-screen version of his Channel 4 prank show, inspired by the way Sacha Baron Cohen transferred his characters out of TV.

And today he said: ‘The skeleton is there. It will have all your favourite characters and it will be in the UK and abroad and will be very funny.

He told fans: ‘It will be exciting, but don't get too excited too quickly,’ – since the slow process of making films means it wouldn’t hit cinemas until 2014.

The Anglo-Iranian comic previously said that the film would retain its hidden camera element, as ‘the biggest mistake you can make with a prank show is remove the “real” 'element, which is the funniest thing.’
