Jack Dee announces tour dates

His first in six years

Jack Dee has announced his first tour dates in more than six years.

He has announced 35 dates from Oxford on September 16 to Milford Haven on December 9.

The venues are all large 'No 1' theatres, rather than the massive arenas favoured by some of his contemporaries – and ticket prices are a reasonable £21 or £22.

Dee is returning to the road after finishing work on Lead Balloon, and has previously said: 'I can never do more than one thing at a time. It’s not as if I can write Lead Balloon in the day then do stand-up in the evening; it just doesn’t work like that for me.'

Dee is about to return to TV with the Sky Atlantic show Sky Atlantic show Don’t Sit In The Front Row.

He also announced today that he will be recording a new stand-up DVD in 2013. A box set of his previous live work is being repackaged for this year's Christmas market.
