Another BBC Three series for Russell Kane
Russell Kane is to front a new BBC Three comedy-entertainment series about how the channel’s audience behave.
He will co-present the six-part studio-based show Look At The State Of You with Radio 1 DJ Greg James.
It will be based around a major nationwide questionnaire asking everything from the national to the personal, which aim to answer questions such as: How does wealth affect the number of sexual partners you’ve had? Where in the country are people most likely to have slept with a friend’s partner? And how often do we really delete our internet history?
BBC Three controller Zai Bennett said: ‘Look At The State Of You will be a unique show examining the state of the nation that is the BBC Three audience. With Greg and Russell at the helm it promises to be an irreverent and hilarious look at exactly what our audience are up to and what they think of one another.’
Kane said: ‘I am absolutely thrilled to be involved in this project. Given that I don't even have a clue who I am, I'm going to enjoy picking apart who everyone else is.’
This is the second BBC Three series for Kane to be announced in a month. It has just been revealed that he is to front a new showcase for comedy talent called Live At The Electric… which will actually be recorded at BBC Television Centre from next month.
Look At The State Of You is being made by Talkback, whose managing director Dan Baldwin, said: ‘We have two of the UK’s biggest talents, in Greg and Russell, hosting the show and I believe this will springboard huge TV careers for both of them.’
