BBC renews In With The Flynns
BBC One has commissioned a second series of In With The Flynns, its star Will Mellor has revealed.
The actor, who plays dad Liam in the family sitcom, broke the news on ITV1’s Loose Women.
He said: ‘We’ve got a second series of In With The Flynns, we’re recording that in the spring.’
The first series, which aired this summer, attracted an average audience of 3.5million viewers across its six-episode run.
It was created by Cosby Show producer Caryn Mandabach in response to the BBC’s search for more primetime, mainstream comedies. Critics, however, largely found the first series predictable and old-fashioned.
Mellor is also starring in a second series of BBC Three’s White Van Man, written by former stand-up Adrian Poynton, in the new year.
