Comedy Awards honour axed shows
Several shows axed by the BBC have been honoured at the British Comedy Awards.
Psychoville was named best comedy-drama and Shooting Stars best panel show.
And Stewart Lee - whose Comedy Vehicle is currently in limbo awaiting news of a third series - was named best television comic, while the show won best entertainment programme.
Picking up his Writers Guild award, Armando Iannucci called on the BBC to recommision the show.
Miranda Hart - whose show had been nominated for four awards - won best comedy actress for the second year in a row. But Friday Night Dinner, which also had four nominations, went away empty-handed.
