Pemberton pens three episodes

Psychoville’s Steve Pemberton has written three episodes of the next series of Benidorm, its creator has revealed.

Derren Litten – who had threatened to quit writing the ITV hit altogether after the last episode - last night tweeted that he had penned three episodes in the new fifth series himself.

And he added: ‘I'm so excited to tell you 3 of the other eps are written by Steve Pemberton!’

The League of Gentlemen star has been in Benidorm, playing Mick Garvey, since it started in 2007.

Litten added that the seven hour-long episodes were likely to air in February or March.
