Saunders ready to work on script

Jennifer Saunders is planning an Absolutely Fabulous movie.

she told the Sunday Times: 'You know what I really want to do, and I’m going to tell you this now, because it might actually make me do it — I want to write Ab Fab: The Movie... I think I’d like to get it written by next year.'

She said the plot would have Patsy and Edina waking up hungover in an oligarch’s yacht in the middle of the ocean, where they cannot get a mobile phone signal.

Saunders will get to work on the script once she finishes writing the Spice Girls West End musical Viva Forever.

Ab Fab is returning to TV this Christmas, with three episodes for BBC One.
