BBC One unveils My Favourite Joke

New comedy clip show

The BBC has announced a new comedy clip show called My Favourite Joke.

The BBC One series will feature a number of comedians discussing their most-loved stand-up routine, comedy sketch or sitcom scene.

Contributors will share the stories behind the joke, describe how it influenced them, and divulge why it is their favourite joke of all time.

Confirmed contributors so far include: Jack Dee, Jo Brand, Sean Lock, Joan Rivers, Alan Carr, Dara O Briain, Lenny Henry, Rich Hall, Jack Whitehall, Jason Manford, Kevin Bridges, Micky Flanagan, Pamela Stephenson and Jimmy Tarbuck.

It has not yet been announced when the half-hour series – to be made by Michael McIntrye’s Comedy Roadshow producers Open Mike – will air.
