Skinner's head of the heard
Frank Skinner has been nominated for three of the top awards in radio.
He is up for the Sony Award for speech radio personality of the year and music personality of the year, while his show – which goes out on Absolute Radio – is in the running for best entertainment show.
In the speech personality category, he faces stiff competition from Danny Baker, Nicky Campbell and Shelagh Fogarty, Pete Price (of Liverpool’s) Radio City 96.7 and Stephen Nolan of 5 Live.
And in the programme category, he is up against Bernie Keith on BBC Radio Northampton, Real Radio Breakfast with Ditchy and Salty, Radio 1’s Chris Moyles show and 1Xtra’s Westwood.

Finally, Lenny Henry's Musical Journey To South Africa, which he made for Radio 4 is up for best music special, while the comedy podcast Answer Me This! is up for best internet programme.
