Peter Kay's singing again...

On every track of new Roary album

Never one to pass up the opportunity to indulge his pop-star fantasies, Peter Kay has recorded a new album.

But the CD – Ready, Steady, Go – is a collection of kids’ songs linked to the animated show Roary The Racing Car.

Kay, who voices to mechanic Big Chris in the Channel 5 programme, features on all 20 tracks on the album, which comes out on March 14. He also sings as American saloon car Tin Top.

Kay has previously made a Comic Relief single and hit the charts as spoof reality show star Geraldine McQueen – and frequently ‘gatecrashes’ the gigs of his favourite music acts.

Co-creator of Roary, Keith Chapman, said: ‘Peter Kay has a brilliant singing voice.’

Kay's voice also features in the new stage adaptation of Roary which is touring 90 UK venues.
