Irish TV's new stand-up showcase

International names and local acts

Some of the top names in stand-up are to be showcased in a new Irish TV series.

Stand & Deliver was recorded live in Galway's Roisin Dubh club last summer and will be hosted by Irish comedy ‘godfather’ Barry Murphy.

Each half-hour episode features two international names alongside an up-and-coming Irish act. The first installment – which goes out at 10.20pm on Monday on RTE2 – features Eleanor Tiernan, Steve Hughes and Stewart Lee.

The rest of the series line-ups are:

January 17: John Colleary, Milton Jones, Reginald D Hunter

January 24: Jarlath Regan, Josie Long, Jason Byrne

January 31: Karl Spain, Mike Wilmot, Sarah Millican

February 7: Gearóid Farrelly, Colin Murphy, Glenn Wool

February 14: John Lynn, Carl Barron, Andrew Maxwell
