A tale of two Katys...
- Is the world ready for two Katy Brands? We already have the ITV2 comedian; but now Russell Brand’s wife Katy has said she wants to take her hubby’s surname – and that some people already call her it. On her chat show Ellen DeGeneres asked this singer if she's planning on changing her name, to which Ms Perry admitted: 'Yes, I am actually. I'm in the process.’
- Meanwhile, her hubby says at the height of his bacchanalian excess he once bedded nine women in one night, on a visit to Ireland.
- The Sun this week wrote about Brand’s new film The Tempest, which it helpfully advised its readers was 'based on Shakespeare's play of the same name’.
- The same paper has more than 1,000 stories about Katie Price on its website, but seems to have overlooked her anger at Frankie Boyle over the bad-taste joke he made about her disabled son. Could it have anything to do with the fact Boyle is a Sun columnist?
- Who says Stewart Lee is just a load of long pauses?
- Ricky Gervais says he was once so poor he hadn’t enough money to wash properly. ‘I was down to my last 50 pence,’ he said. ‘The last remnants of my student grant. The water meter in my flat had reached zero and I had no clean clothes to wear. Also, I needed a wash. So I decided to wash myself and my clothes at the same time. But I had a dilemma. Do I put the shirts in with me and use the last bit of shampoo, thereby compromising the shirts' Or do I put the last bit of Daz in and compromise my skin In the end I went for the Daz option. Let’s get my shirts looking good, that’s the priority. It was a big mistake because I felt all gritty and itchy.’
