Clips ahoy!
David Walliams is to host a Channel 4 clips show of ‘so bad they're good’ moments in TV, ads and films.
The Little Britain star will front three two-hour shows called Awfully Good... early next year.
Clips to be included are Bram Stoker's Dracula, the BBC's 1978 black music show Blackcurrent, flatulence-deodorising underpants and the roaring shark in Jaws: The Revenge.
The show has been revealed today as part of Channel 4’s winter 2011 season, which also includes a raft of previously announced comedies.
They include:
Ten O’Clock Live: Weekly topical comedy hosted by David Mitchell, Jimmy Carr, Charlie Brooker and Lauren Laverne
Friday Night Dinner: Sitcom about a Jewish family, written and produced by Robert Popper, and starring Tamsin Greig, Simon Bird, Paul Ritter, Tom Rosenthal and Mark Heap.
Campus: From the makers of Green Wing and Smack the Pony, a comedy series set in a university
British Comedy Awards: Moving from ITV to Channel 4, and from December to January; plus Comic Choice Awards a week of shows leading up to the main event, hosted by Bill Bailey.
Barbara Windsor: A Comedy Roast: Hosted by Jimmy Carr
