David Walliams to judge talent show?

David Walliams has reportedly been offered £500,000 to become a judge on the next series of Britain's Got Talent.

The Little Britain star is said to have been formally approached by ITV chiefs, but he has yet to decide on whether to take up the offer.

An unnamed friend told The Sun: ‘David is a huge fan of the show. It's a big offer, but he's holding out for more. He won't commit until he knows exactly who else is on board.’

If he signs up, Walliams would replace either Simon Cowell or Piers Morgan. Cowell is stepping aside during the auditions to focus on X Factor USA, but should return for the live finals, while Morgan has left the show to replace CNN talk show host Larry King.

Other names tipped to join the judging panel have included fellow comics Peter Kay and Paul O'Grady.
