Dane Cook's brother jailed

He admits stealing millions from comic

Dane Cook’s half-brother has been sent to prison for embezzling millions of dollars from the comic.

Darryl McCauley, who was the American stand-up’s business manager for almost five years, admitted 27 counts of larceny plus related charges in a Massachusetts court yesterday.

The 45-year-old, who was arrested in 2008 for allegedly forging a $3 million (£1.9 million) cheque to himself, was sentenced to up to six years in jail.

Attorney General Martha Coakley said McCauley ‘stole millions of dollars for his own personal gain’.
