Russell Kane's freak show
Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Russell Kane is to front a new series about obsessive behaviour for BBC Three.
The comic will present six half-hour episodes of Freak Like Me, a half-hour factual entertainment show due to air from late next month
Kane says he’s a creature of specific habits himself, and wants to set out to prove he is not alone.
He said: ‘I live in a pleasant cocoon of freakish obsessions and daily rituals that keep my wobbly little jester brain steady. Turns out there are lots of freaks like me. Good job really, as it means BBC Three are sticking my freakish mug on telly.’
Each episode features ordinary people revealing their habits and obsessions, such as the chauffeur who has to poo naked or the student who collects dead bees.
‘Nothing is too personal or too bizarre,’ say producers Remarkable Television, a subsidiary of Big Brother makers Endemol.
