Klang star oversees comic showdown

Greg Davies is to host a new BBC show in which comedians try to outdo each other in performing ridiculous feats.

Twelve comics will vie for the title of funniest person in the room by coming up with outrageous suggestions for their colleagues – which they must also be prepared to do themselves.

So far confirmed for the show are Stephen K Amos, Russell Kane, Phil Nicol, Lee Kern, Rob Deering, Charlie Baker, Micky Flanagan, Katherine Ryan, Kirsten O’Brien and Holly Walsh. Meanwhile Bridget Christie will be Davies's sidekick
