Angelos works on R4 pilot

Shooting Stars character Angelos Epithemiou is working on his own Radio 4 series.

Dan Renton Skinner’s moribund former burger van owner is set to investigate the important questions of the day in the series, Angelos Epithemiou's Big Issue.

A cast of comedy favourites comprising Katy Wix, Sanjeev Kohli, Rufus Jones and Tom Verrall will play the experts trying to fill him in on the subject of the environment in the pilot episode.

Epithemiou is being promoted heavily by the BBC’s comedy website, with video clips and a microsite dedicated to the character ahead of the next series of Shooting Stars.

The pilot episode of Angelos Epithemiou's Big Issues will be recorded in front of a studio audience in London later this month. See our free tickets page to be in the audience.
