Only Fools sequel to return

The BBC is making a full series of its Only Fools And Horses prequel Rock & Chips.

Creator John Sullivan is writing six hour-long episodes, with Inbetweeners star James Buckley returning as the young Del Boy.

Buckley, who is in the middle of filming the next series of the E4 hit, told The Sun Sullivan had approached him about the new series – by text message.

The commission follows a 90-minute special, aired in January, which explained how safecracker Freddie 'The Frog' Robdal – played by Nicholas Lyndhurst – had secretly fathered Rodney in Sixties Peckham. It attracted seven millions viewers to BBC One.
