Frankie Boyle creates graphic strip

Frankie Boyle and Jonathan Ross are writing comic strips for a new magazine from the creator of Kick-Ass.

Both contributions will run over the six months of Mark Millar’s adult comic Clint, which will first be published on September 2.

Ross has created a vampire storyline, while details of Boyle’s contribution is still under wraps.

Millar said: ‘I want this to be edgy and irreverent, the kind of thing guys will be passing around lunch-halls and common rooms, and there’s nobody I’d rather have creating new characters for Clint than Jonathan and Frankie. They’re both brilliant writers and will surprise a lot of people with this stuff.’

He also promised the ‘most insane line-up’ of future contributors but revealed no further names. ‘You’d be amazed how many people who work in film and television want to be comic-book writers,’ he added.

Ross's wife Jane Goldman adapted Millar’s graphic novel Kick-Ass for the big screen. He is now working on a sequel to that book, too.
