Poll position
David Mitchell and Jimmy Carr are to host a four-hour Channel 4 comedy special on polling day.
The Alternative Election Night coverage will mix specially recorded comedy shows with live footage as the results come in.
As part of the May 6 package, Charlie Brooker will host a You Have Been Watching election special, while Fonejacker Kayvan Novak will be making prank calls.
A C4 spokesman said: ‘Throughout the night, the ensemble of hosts will react to news as it happens, interacting with the studio audience, and above all, delivering their inimitable take on the election as it unfolds.’
Rory Bremner will also be hosting a Daily Show-style comic analysis of the campaign on the three nights leading up to polling day.
And election night will feature a political themed version of Come Dine With Me featuring Edwina Currie, Brian Paddick, Derek Hatton and Rod Liddle.
