BBC wants more Geniuses

Second series for Gorman's show

BBC Two has ordered a second series of Dave Gorman’s show Genuis.

Filming on the new six-part run begins in May and the comedian is now seeking new ideas from viewers that can be put to the test on screen.

rnHe said: ‘I'm obviously delighted that Genius is coming back for more. In times like this we should remember that ideas - clever ideas, hair brained schemes and the downright daft - are perhaps this country's greatest natural resource.’

Ideas from last series included making the Isle of Wight symmetrical, teaching maths through dance and marketing fizzy onion juice as a refreshing drink.

Katie Taylor, executive editor for BBC Entertainment said: ‘Series One brimmed with brilliant, intelligent and off the wall ideas, and we’re all looking forward to seeing what the British public come up with next.’
