Men Behaving Badly creator Simon Nye is working on a new sitcom for Radio 2.

Cinema is about a 'well-meaning but rather pretentious cinema manager' in a small town.

Other characters include a surly projectionist and the cinema's owner, a ninetysomething former actress who likes to reminisce about her glory days.

A pilot episode of the sitcom is to be recorded in Central London next month.
